Our internal team is made up of a diverse group of professionals with an expansive range of expertise in nonprofit management, fund development, technology solutions, career services, social work, education, food services, and more. City of Refuge provides 24/7 safe, supportive living with wrap-around services for those experiencing homelessness. The 345 is our men’s housing unit, and Eden Village is our housing program for women and children. Staff working in housing hold many roles including Case Management, Clinician work, Resident Placement, Grant Management, and more. If you have a heart for helping people transition out of crisis, this work is for you!

Administrative work and campus maintenance is what helps our organization operate every day. If you are passionate about HR, finance, security, facilities/ maintenance work, and office management, this work is for you!

Our Workforce Innovation Hub helps unemployed or underemployed individuals find and maintain employment that increases self-sufficiency. Staff working in the The Hub teach vocational training classes, cyber security courses, culinary classes, coding classes, automotive skills and more. Hub staff also help with career services, interview training, job fair management, resume building, and development. The Reentry Hub is also a branch of the Hub, and provides additional support for individuals involved with the criminal justice system to successfully reenter the community. Our Youth Development programming for children offers individualized, age-appropriate support focused on improving academics, health, and social-emotional behaviors to overcome long-existing inequities. We have programming for youth ages six weeks to 18 years of age (daycare, preschool, 4th-12th grade, after school, and summer camp). Staff roles in this department include preschool teachers, City School teachers, after school coordinators, summer camp counselors, and more. If you have a heart for youth development, this work is for you!

  • Preschool Teachers: Our preschool is looking to hire a few new teachers! If you have experience working 1 year olds, 2 year olds, or PreK students, please reach out to Virginia Richburg at vrichburg@cityofrefugeatl.org. We are looking for someone with: 

    - At least 2 years of experience

    - Passionate about working with kids 

    - A team player 

    - Able to manage up to 10 babies or kids in a classroom setting

Our Heath and Wellness programming, specifically our City of Refuge Kitchen, serves nutritious meals three times a day, 365 days a year. When our residents, students, and staff eat in our kitchen, we want it to feel like home. If you have a heart for food services and hospitality, this work is for you!

Staff roles in this department include volunteer relations, donor relations, fundraising, marketing & communications, grant writing, grant management, administrative work, and more.
