Our job fairs are for anyone looking for employment. You can find a diverse array of employment opportunities at our job fair, meet hiring and HR managers, and have on-site interviews with multiple employers. Here you can ask questions in person, find out more about job openings, and fill out online applications on one of our computers.

Job Training Courses
At City of Refuge we offer job training courses that will give you the skills and confidence needed to earn a job and start a rewarding career. Check out the courses available below and begin your application process.
Forklift Certification (4 Days)
4-Day Training
Ready, Set, Work Forklift Certification is a comprehensive program designed to build both career and technical skills. Over four days, participants will develop soft skills, practice interview techniques, craft effective resumes, and engage in a hands-on job placement workshop.

NAPA Automotive Technician Training (16 Weeks)
Mon-Fri (8:30 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.)
This course introduces basic concepts and technical training in automobile mechanics. The curriculum covers safety procedures, legal/ethical responsibilities, general service, hand tools, shop organization, and workflow systems.
Start Date: January 2026
Solar Panel Installation Training (10 Weeks)
Are you ready to build a sustainable career in the booming solar industry? Our 10-week Solar Panel Installation Training Program is designed for motivated adults (ages 24-44) who are looking to gain in-demand job skills, earn industry certification, and secure long-term employment in the solar energy field. No experience needed! Training takes place at the City of Refuge campus.
Spaces are limited and expected to fill fast!

Welder Training (10 Weeks)
The City of Refuge Welder Training Program is designed to equip individuals from Atlanta’s 30314 and surrounding communities with the skills needed to thrive in the high-demand field of welding. With scholarship-covered training, students will learn the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) process and prepare to meet national certification standards set by ASME and AWS. This 10-week program emphasizes safety, quality, and performance—empowering students to take confident steps toward long-term success in the trades.

Cybersecurity (35 Weeks)
Mon - Fri (8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.)
Cybersecurity students will be trained and tested for the following industry-recognized certifications:Linux, CompTia Net + (Certification), Python, CompTia Sec + (Certification), CCSK v5 w/ Zero Trust (Certification), and Work Based Learning for 1 month.
Start Date: March 2026
4 Day EmployED Workshop Series
August 19 – 22, 2025 | EmployED is a 4-day, hands-on workshop series designed to equip job seekers with AI tools, digital skills, and career readiness strategies to help them succeed in today’s job market.
Skills in Action: Virtual Academy
Join us for one of our 90-minute workshops focused on building digital skills and fluency, sponsored by NPursuit Career Partners.
Culinary Workforce Training Program
Join us for our hands-on culinary training, where you’ll learn essential kitchen skills and earn certifications to kickstart your career in the food industry. Tuition-free, limited spots available.
