What is the J17 Fund?
The J17 Fund is an Educational Expense Assistance Fund designed to provide financial assistance to minority students choosing to attend college, university, or technical school upon graduation from high school.
How It Works
PROGRAM GUIDENCE
Students receiving J17 funds will agree to a plan of supervision which will include guidance regarding academic progress, student behavior and wise use of awarded funds. Awards will be on an annual basis and certain criteria will be required in order to apply for subsequent years of application consideration
APPLICATIONS
Applications for fall semester should be submitted by July 31st and applications for spring semester should be submitted by November 30th. Students must apply each semester to be eligible for scholarship funding. This program requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 in order to be eligible to apply.

THE GOAL
Raise a minimum of $100,000 annually with a total amount raised being awarded each year. Commitment of 10 year program for minimum of $1 million being awarded.
